Security funding for New York City small businesses

Funded by the New York City Council, this $200,000 initiative will help small shops in all five boroughs pay for alarms, panic buttons and other security technology.

Who gets priority

Businesses outside business improvement districts (BIDs), businesses in low- and moderate-income neighborhoods, and minority- and women-owned businesses.

This funding offers help now while the City builds a permanent small business security program required under Local Law 120.
